Tip: heritage, boat trip and shopping in one day

The Industrial Heritage Line – the first tourist busline in The Netherlands -will take you directly from Amsterdam Central Station to the Zaanse Schans.

 

This makes it really easy for you to explore this beautiful site of industrial heritage, filled with windmills, wooden houses, the ‘polder’ landscape, the river Zaan. A trip that’s really worth it.

 

On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays you can use the Zaanhopper boat fare to the city center of Zaandam. Here you can do some shopping or take the Monet-walk along the spots he painted.

Where to eat and drink
